Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of glenneggleton.com (the "Site"), and any courses, content, or services offered through it. The Site is operated by Glenn Eggleton, a sole proprietor based in Ontario, Canada ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity that occurs under it. Authentication is handled by Clerk. Keep your credentials secure and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Purchases and payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a course you authorize the listed charge in the currency shown at checkout and agree to Stripe's terms. Prices and applicable taxes are displayed before payment. We may change pricing at any time, but changes do not affect purchases already completed.

4. Refunds

Course purchases are refundable within 14 days of the purchase date, no questions asked. To request a refund, email geggleto@gmail.com from the email address on your account. After 14 days, all sales are final.

5. License to course content

When you purchase a course, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the course content for your own learning. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish, or share course content (including instructional text, video, and proprietary diagrams) outside what is permitted by the relevant content's license.

Code snippets and example projects within courses may be reused in your own work unless explicitly marked otherwise.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or course access with others.
• Scrape, mirror, or otherwise bulk-extract the Site or its content.
• Reverse engineer, attack, or attempt to circumvent access controls.
• Use the Site to send spam, malware, or unlawful content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund where the violation is material.

7. Intellectual property

All Site content — articles, courses, illustrations, instructional code samples, and branding — remains the property of Glenn Eggleton or its respective owners. No rights are granted to you except those expressly stated in these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Site uses third-party services including Clerk, Stripe, Neon, PostHog, and Vercel. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, summarized in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Course content is educational and does not constitute legal, financial, security, or other professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating its applicability to your own situation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing geggleto@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Ontario, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these Terms, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.
